Manchester United survive first half scare then destroy Spurs – Telegraph.
After a drubbing like this I would normally bemoan the fact of how poor a team we are; in this instance the ref made two poor decisions that turned the game. Firstly he failed to book Ronaldo for a foul on Lennon when he’d booked Spurs’ players for less and then shortly after he gave Utd an unbelievably home penalty which seemed to knock the stuffing out of Spurs. You can always argue that we shouldn’t have rolled over like we did, but having played football myself there are times when a bad decision by the referee can scramble your brains and believe me that penalty was a truly bad decision.
