Freedom of religion is a fundamental human right; so is freedom from religion. As someone who lives in a block of flats, I can totally sympathise with the residents who are resentful that they may have to pay a share of the legal costs if this couple were to win. I’m sure the couple’s God really wouldn’t hold it against them if the lights were to come on during the Sabbath. People seem to think nowadays that their personal beliefs should ride roughshod over the rights of others. Why have we become so selfish in this country ?
