It doesn’t matter what level you watch England play football at, they put you through the mill. First half, it was typical England; not playing well but able to take advantage of the other team’s weakness at set pieces. Second half, we sit back, try to play possession football and throw it away. We get someone stupidly sent off to leave ourselves short of strikers in the final and the keeper gets himself booked in the penalty shoot out to miss the final as well. We miss the first penalty in true Beckham style and then have a little luck as their fella takes an England style penalty to hit the post. Eventful doesn’t even come into it !
