BBC Sport – Football – Tottenham 0-0 Man City.
We play brilliantly in the first half which should’ve seen us at least 3-0 up, with only Hart keeping City in the game. It was one of the best starts to a game I’ve seen Tottenham had for a long time and we couldn’t have played much better both in an attacking and defensive sense. Second half the game was a bit more even but City only really had once good chance and we should’ve scored a couple. It was not to be and on another day we would’ve been easily. So not the result we deserved but a very pleasing performance. Fingers crossed for the rest of the season.
Gomes – Didn’t have much to do
Corluka – Steady but Kaboul looks a better bet
Dawson – Not put under much pressure, looked a little nervous
King - Showed what England missed in the World Cup
Assou-Ekotto – Dodgy as always
Lennon – A bit headless and was subbed, quite good defensively though
Huddlestone – Looked confident and worked hard
Modric – It looked like something was going to happen when he had the ball
Bale – Brilliant in the first half, quieter in the second
Crouch – Normal hard working game, nothing happened for him
Defoe – One good turn and shot otherwise lazy rightly subbed
Subs – Keane didn’t make an impact, Pavlyuchenko looked lively as did Di Santos
