BBC Sport – Football – Young Boys 3-2 Tottenham.
In a truly dreadful display we were lucky not to have been out of the tie already. That we nicked a couple of goals, doesn’t cover the fact that too many players failed to turn up and things would only have been worse if we’d been playing one of the top sides. I think ‘Arry shouldn’t have changed the side from Saturday even though it’s going to be a long season. The old maxim still holds sway and that’s you play your strongest side. We’re still in the tie and we can only hope that whatever side ‘Arry puts out, the players will apply themselves better than tonight and make sure we get at least the one goal we need to go through. That’ll teach me again to have a bet on Spurs winning won’t it ?
