It always appeared as if Arsenal were over stretching themselves when they built the Emirates. It also looks like all those Gooners are paying over the odds to watch their team. I just hope Tottenham don’t do the same thing (which I feel they might be) with their new stadium.

When I played football, there was one thing guaranteed to start a punch up and that was spitting at someone. What Fabregas was doing on the pitch in the first place is questionable and to get involved as he seemingly did, seems to be folly. If he did do what’s alleged, there can be no punishment large enough for such a gross, disrespectful and revolting act.

Thieves took advantage of the “Battle of Britain” Champions League match between Liverpool and Arsena1 last Wednesday night to burgle two more footballers homes. The first unfortunate player was Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard. The crooks got away with countless items of football memorabilia including many of Gerrards own medals. Amongst the items currently being hunted by police are: 2 x FA Cup winners medals 2 x League Cup winners medals 1 x FA Youth Cup winners medal 1 x Champions League winners medal 1 x UEFA Cup winners medal 2 x Super Cup winners medals 2 x Charity Shield winners medals They also took a number of personal awards including: Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year & his much cherished MBE. The other unfortunate player to be targeted was Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas. Thieves are thought have escaped with a kettle and a toaster.

We can’t hang on to what would’ve been a great victory, our friend Dawson failling to prevent Tevis from scoring at the near post. No absolute desparation there then.

We come out of it with a bit of honour whilst at the same time preventing the Arsenal from getting too far ahead of Utd.

We play well again today and make it three wins out of three. Bolton are always hard to beat so to totally outplay as we did in the first half shows we do have some quality at times. Best of all though Arsenal got beaten by Chelsea in the Carling Cup so happy days !
