Only a fool would not acknowledge that Britain needs immigrants especially in areas where there’s a skills shortage but the pace of change has been too fast over the last few years. So this news is good and I’m glad to see the coalition is taking some sensible measures to manage immigration. Most worrying is that over a third of would be citizens failed the citizenship test which I think shows their true interest in this country.

This is the moment when Gordon Brown finds out his private conversation in which he called a woman he’d been talking to a bigot, has been broadcast. The fact that he later apologised is irrelevant because when you here it, you know he meant it and didn’t misunderstand anything (which was his excuse). The worrying thing is that if he thinks anyone who raises legitimate questions about immigration is a bigot then he doesn’t really understand or care about the the concerns of many people. The last one to leave, please turn off the light (to quote The Sun).

BBC News – Have British jobs gone to British workers?

It’s a truism to say the face of Britain has changed forever. Whole areas especially in London make it hard to believe you are actually in Britain. However only a fool would say we could get by without immigration especially when it comes to difficult to fill specialist jobs. The problem is the pace of change has been too rapid and now a possible lack of social cohesion is a worry. The debate is always stifled by the spectre of being called racist and that means it is too weighted in favour of those who are happy with the level of immigration.

It isn’t any wonder people are disillusioned with politics in this country. The present government through it’s immigration policies has changed this country forever and now can’t understand why things might be starting to unravel. The pace of change has been too fast and to blithely say that white working class communities are now suffering fails to take into account the resentment in other parts of the majority community. Only a fool would be against a multi racial society but multi-culturalism has been a policy too far for many people.

At last someone has had the balls to say what many people are thinking. This country is full up and we need to start to address the issue. The demographics in some parts of the country have changed completely and no longer look like Britain. If this trend continues we’ll all be worse off including the people who have every right to be here.
