I’ve disabled all the security options and only use Firefox as my browser and everything seems to work fine.

From then on if you have automatic updates turned on, SP2 will automatically download. Personally though I don’t use the automatic updates “feature” of XP for updates. I don’t need SP2 because my email has anti-virus and anti-spamming at the server end, I use Firefox as my browser and have a hardware firewall. Why won’t Microsoft give people the option not to have SP2 ?
