I think Simon Barnes sums Wednesday’s game up really well. The teams were so well matched that even all the expected heroes cancelled each other out, leaving a game that even right up until the end of the penalty shoot out, could’ve gone either way.

Any sympathy for John Terry could be lost after viewing this. I knew he was swearing and having a go at Tevez but I didn’t notice him spitting until now. It’s a shame this all went on. On a Sunday morning it was all part of the fun to have a bit of a tussle. This was the Champion’s League Final and it was all a bit unseemly.

It doesn’t matter what system you play, how much luck you have, the quality of the players you have or whether you deserve to win or not, the Laws of Football quite clearly state that the team scoring more goals than the other team wins the game. Spurs scored a legitimate goal tonight against Utd which was not given and we were robbed of the three points.
